Italian Language Program
Experience the lifestyle of Southern Italy while learning the
Italian language at a local school. Salerno, Italy, an ancient
city with a modern feel, is located on the beautiful Amalfi Coastline
and is close to famous destinations such as Pompeii, Naples, and
Capri. Your mornings will be spent learning the Italian language
in a classroom setting, while afternoons are free to explore the
area and make friends with your classmates. Optional afternoon
activities are organized by the school to help you learn more
about the area and Italian culture as well as have fun.
Who can apply?
Students 15 – 19 years old. No previous knowledge of Italian
is required for this program.

Courses
This language school offers Italian lessons (beginner through advanced
levels) for students of all ages, young teens through seniors. Classes
meet daily, Monday through Friday, in the morning hours. Afternoons
are spent with classmates or your host family. The school will organize
various optional excursions and events (sporting events, tours,
parties) in which students can participate.

Accommodations
Students will have a single room in the home of a local,
carefully screened family. You will be provided with breakfast and
dinner each day. Host families are typically within a 15-minute
walk of the school.

Fee includes:
- $500 application fee
- Proficiency test given on first day of classes
- Italian language training (20 lessons per week)
- Round trip airfare from New York, NY, to Naples, Italy
- Ground transfers between Naples and Salerno

- Accommodation in a single room in a local home
- Daily breakfast and dinner
- Certificate of attendance at end of course

Credits
Transfer of credits is not guaranteed. Students must check with
