Study in Chile

4-week Spanish language and Ecology program

Lake Pehoe, Torres del Paine National Park
Lake Pehoe, Torres del Paine National Park

Since Chile lies in the southern hemisphere, its seasons are the opposite of the United State’s (the country’s summer is between December and March). Students enjoy a 4-week cultural exchange that includes homestay accommodations with local host families, community service projects, two weeks of school attendance, intensive Spanish lessons, ecological excursions and outdoor activities. No visa is required for this program.

At least 10 students must enroll in this program for it to run.

Who can apply?
Students 15-18 years old. At least one year of Spanish instruction is required. Find out how to apply.

Location
Students participate in an orientation in Santiago, Chile’s capital. They also have their first four days of activities here.

Students have their homestay experience and attend school in Quillota which is located two hours from Santiago in the heart of the Aconcagua Valley, near natural reservations. This city is the perfect combination of city and country style living.

Students develop a community project, visit local universities and share experiences as a group through different cultural activities in Viña del Mar and Valparaíso. These neighboring cities enjoy the privilege of being among Chile’s and South America’s most interesting. One city has been a resort place for many decades, the other an old port full of history, legends, and inspiring sites for many world-known artists.
