possible attendance at a local school.
No visa is required for this program.

Location
Students participate in a one-night orientation
in Santiago, Chile’s
capital. Afterwards, students travel to their host family’s community.
Students typically live in southern Chile, in or near the towns
of Curico or Rancagua but may go to a northern town like La Serena.
Students may have the opportunity to audit classes at the local
high school for one to two weeks and will also participate in a
community service project in their community for the remainder of
their stay. Typical service projects include working with underprivileged
children, fundraising projects, repairing old buildings, delivering
food to the homeless, and assisting the elderly. Students gain a
sense of responsibility and achievement through these projects.
