France is a country brimming with famous and familiar sights. Here
is your opportunity to see some of these sights, as well as to truly
integrate into French life and culture. France’s geographical diversity
sets it apart. During your time abroad, you will have the chance
to experience the variety of the country’s natural beauty, whether
it be the Alps, the Mediterranean Sea, the cities or the forests.
A visa is required for these programs. The necessary paperwork
will be sent to you after host family placement.
Who can apply?
Students 15-18 years old. A minimum of two years of French instruction
and an overall “C” GPA is required for all programs. Graduating
seniors are not eligible.

Courses
Students take French, math, science, music, drawing and history
courses during their year or semester. It is not uncommon for the French
to repeat one or two years in school. There may be disparity among
the ages of the students in any particular level. Students age 15
attend the College, or junior high school. Students ages 16-18 attend
a lycée (high school).
Accommodations
Students stay with a French host family that has been carefully
selected by our partner program.
Fee
Academic year: $8,400
Fall or spring semester: $7,000
Fee includes:
- $500 application fee
- Round trip airfare from New York, NY, to Paris, France
- Pre-departure orientation in the U.S. and orientation in host
community
- Medical insurance
- 24-hour supervision and/or local representative assistance
- Homestay and meals not including weekday lunches
- Enrollment fee for school
Not included
- Spending money
- School books and other school fees
- Visa and passport processing fees
- Domestic round trip airfares to/from New York
- Domestic airfares abroad from arrival city to host family, if
applicable
- Daily transportation to and from school
Credits
Transfer of credits is not guaranteed. Students must check with
their high school advisor.
