SCHOLARSHIPS FOR U.S. STUDENTS

Participating high schools receive an annual scholarship from AYA, which can be awarded to a worthy American student from the school community. One of the advantages of hosting or enrolling an AYA student is access to the AIFS family of programs. AIFS offers a world of study abroad opportunities open to high school and college students. In addition, AIFS's sister organization, the American Council for International Studies (ACIS), offers short-term travel programs for students, teachers and adults. The scholarship can be used toward these programs.

One scholarship per school per year is issued, valid for one year. It can be used only by a student from your community enrolled in your high school within the past year and cannot be divided among students. It can be combined with up to two host family scholarships (offered families who take a an international student into their home).

2004 Partnership for Peace Scholarship - An Adventure in Germany

The AIFS Foundation is awarding two full tuition and several partial tuition scholarships to qualified high school students. These scholarships enable high school students to study abroad on an academic program for the 2004-2005 school year to Germany on the American Youth Abroad (AYA) program.
